Dot Works

This is pair of dot, stippling, pointalistic or whatever you want to refer to the technique as. I really enjoyed
tattooing in this manner and I'm rather pleased with the outcome. I look forward to exploring this manner of tattooing and I believe there's a lot of potential here.

The demon face here is a few days into healing when I took this photo and was done completely with dots.

Portions of this skull fell on the elbow, so there are a few lines and solid fill spots in this one also I wanted to explore mixing the use of lines and dots and see what kind of effects can be achieved. I would have like to put a bit more work into the crown piece, but we were running short on time, so that will have to be done at a later date.

As black as your heart-

Here are a pair of tattoos that went down recently. A good ol' tommy gun and a good ol' granny. The young ladies who i put this on, her grandma was attacked by a dog as a child and and suffered some damages to an eye and other features making it rather challenging . I'm content with the way her face came, it's certainly a good likeness but not so satisfied with the hair. Thanks for looking.

ol' number 2

There's something very comforting in a number 2 pencil. No matter what your skill level or artistic  achievement in life, whether your a graphic designer, a highly sought after contemporary gallery artist or a humble tattooer like myself, chances are it all began with a yellow number 2 pencil at the kitchen table. Please forgive my introspective reminiscence but I find it cathartic to return to your "roots" so to speak, it doesn't get much more natural and comforting than a crisp piece of paper and that all so familiar piece of wood between your grasp. I spent the better part of the day drawing in just this manner, no fancy pencils or charcoal sticks and certainly no Arches french pressed paper. Simply good old computer paper and the old deuce. It's a fairly random ensemble. Here's the results. As always thanks for viewing.

A Sexy Pair

Here's a set of drawings I recently finished. Ones simply for the sake of drawing, the other for my good friend Steve who's an amazing builder and fabricator of all things with a motor and somethings without and the mastermind and man behind Mayhem Motosports.

I'm am always very hesitant to post anything art work related on the web especially those which are even remotely line based do to the incredibly high amount of "poaching" that occurs. I'm sure it's a waste of effort but please don't be a thieving bastard and steal my shit and use it for other purposes or say it's yours, it's just grimey.

As always thanks for looking.

Slacker

When it comes to this blog it would appear I'm a bit of a slacker. I'm going to attempt to be a little more consistent on with these pages in the future. I've a lot of projects currently in the works and look forward to sharing them. Here are few few recent tattoos for your visual stimuli.

Our Time Has Come To An End

I lost my best friend today. After 13 years of unfathomable companionship and loyalty we had to say goodbye. I find it amazing how time passes, it's paradoxical. I can't remember a time when he was not in my life yet at the same time looking back it seems so brief, as if it was yesterday. I honestly can't recall grief as powerful as what I experienced at his passing and I feel nothing but tragedy at the mere thought of never being able to share time again. It has been hours and if feels like years, this world will forever be different to me and my family. I miss you buddy...

Almost There

I've been working on this painting for the better part of 2 years. It seems a little excessive in hindsight but I feel it's coming along rather well. I have very little to go( the upper most right corner) and the finish line is in sight. I'm quite excited about it and felt the need to share even though it's a little premature.
